Thru-Wall's meteoric rise has been recognised by the prestigious Construction News Awards as it became the first ever winner of the new Product Innovation category.
The award, which was presented in front of over 800 guests at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 12th July, confirms Thru-Wall as one of the most successful and innovative companies operating in the construction industry.
The award marks a significant milestone in the progress of the Thru-Wall product, which was created earlier this year thanks to a unique collaboration between building envelope specialists Lakesmere and its supply chain partner HIL Installations.
Thru-Wall was recognised for the entirely new SIPS (Structural Insulated Panel System) concept that it provides to the construction industry - an offsite, modular, roofing and cladding construction solution which incorporates industry standard external finishes.
In order to win the award, which was making its debut this year; Thru-Wall had to undergo a rigorous judging process which involved a face-to-face interview and presentation.
Thru-Wall's Kevin Bowsher said: "This award is a significant achievement for everyone involved in the creation and ongoing successes of Thru-Wall. It's incredibly satisfying to have been recognised for our innovative product by some of the construction industry's sternest judges – long may it continue."
Speaking on the evening, Construction News editor Nick Edwards said: "We have a famously robust judging process that means being a finalist really matters - you've all had to justify your achievements face to face with our judges. Getting in this room is a huge success."
